One Day to Go

Saturday, June 29, 2002. Entry #174

You know, I'm getting all excited about tomorrow.

I'm not planning anything special. I had wanted to do a site redesign, but I'm still pleased with how this place looks. I've reorganized the archives a bit, as it was getting too long, but other than that, I'm happy.

It's funny how pleased I am with my archive. Really, several dozen electronic files isn't a huge legacy for two years of writing, but I'm still happy with it. I'm happy that I've been able to keep this going, and have managed to gain a steady audience.

More on all this tomorrow.

One of my favorite journal writers has made reappearance. Pamie is back!

Pamie is one of those writers who inspired me to keep this going. She's funny and smart, and writes great, honest stuff. She's the closest the journal community has to a real celebrity. Well, aside from Wil Wheaton, of course.

Pamie stopped writing a year ago, but is feeling the urge to re-join the online community.

I couldn't be happier.

The heat has finally broken, and the weather report is predicting a week of sun and nice weather. The broiling heat is behind us for now.

It's even a decent temperature in our apartment finally. With all the windows open and the fans blowing, it's mostly livable in here.

My sister Tricia offered us the use of their old apartment-sized air conditioner, but then found out that Dan already agreed to loan it to his brother. So really, it was just all a tease. Back to the bathtub filled with ice cubes for me then I guess.

More tomorrow!

One Year Ago Today: I was still on hiatus, but in 1613, Shakespeare's Globe Theater burned down.

Mom Rating: 3.5 out of 5. Mom thinks this is a much better effort on my part. I'm sure she doubted I could keep this up this long.
