2002. Entry #161
Ugh. Can we just forget
the last two days?
I mean come ON. Monday's
blather-fest, followed by Tuesday's
open-ended whine? The least I could
have done was come up with some sort of funny, impractical solutions
and flogged them to death for your entertainment.
How about having a meeting
with each coworker individually to proactively work out new dynamics
for the work environment? That would endear me to them.
How about trying to bribe
them all with a virtually unending supply of TimBits
and cherry strudel? Nah, I sit beside the food area and would ended
up scarfing the lot myself.
I could write a long sonnet
likening the workgroup to a bunch of summer starlings, flitting
about in the trees joyfully. Then I could share it in our weekly
status meeting, just after the source-from-store update and before
the current sales goals.
See? Here I am, making
with the funny. Where was all this great material yesterday?
It's all gold, baby.
My Sea-Monkeys
seem to be thriving again, for those who were wondering.
The water's all nice and
clear; they all seem active and happy. There are even a couple fresh
hatchlings bipping about.
Do mature Sea-Monkeys eat
their young?
Damn.

I was still on hiatus, but in 1839, the first baseball game was

Mom
Rating: 2 out of 5. Mom will only think it's all kind of
funny. Not more than that though.
