Entry #159
This stupid illness has
really set things back in my goal to hit 175 posts by the 30th of
June.
You are currently reading
entry 159, which means I have 16 more to go. That's one for each
workday, plus two over the remaining weekends.
I
figure that all the illnesses that politely left me alone during
the first six months at The Sporting Goods Company now have all
ganged up to kick my ass. I've gone through your basic sore throat,
stuffed head, painful sinuses, ear infection, and upset stomach,
and am now busy working my way through a touch of laryngitis. I
only missed a half day last week, but ended up spending most of
the weekend stuck in bed.
Lisa wasn't even home to
take care of me. She had a big Scooby-Doo promotion at the Pet Store
to handle, and then Sunday was one of her last remaining training
sessions at the Zoo.
She did bring me home some
chicken soup.
I think things are completely
healed over with the coworker who screamed at me last week. While
we were sitting at our desks finishing our lunches, he clued me
into a tray of leftover sandwiches in the break room.
Given that we two are the
biggest eaters in our department, it was quite a gesture.
Enough. I'm going to bed.
One Year Ago Today:
I was still on hiatus, but in 1977, Apple Computer shipped its first
Apple II.
Mom
Rating: 1 out of 5. Mom doesn't think it's good that I'm
sick. She was sick too.
