I mean, aside from the whole three days off thing.

It's the short workweek! Isn't that amazing! After you get a three-day vacation, you only have to work four more days until you get TWO MORE DAYS OFF! I feel like the dog in Sinfest with a new ball.

We had another 'The Boss is Coming' scare today. One of the big mucky-mucks who paid 3.5 billion dollars for the lots of us came into the building today. My managers were all weird-like and had us scramble around tidying up the office in case they poked their heads into our little corner. Like they would care about the leftover cookie boxes or stacks of coke cans on my desk.

They even made us turn off the radio station we normally listen to. Okay, yes, it was an American station piped out of Atlanta -- and you Americans get away with a HELL of a lot more on the radio than we do up here -- but still. These guys own a dozen television and radio stations. They've heard it all, bubba.

We got little warning phone calls during the day too. 'We think that's his car pulling up outside!' 'He's in the building!' 'He's talking to Bob from marketing!'

Of course, there was no sign of him. Our boss talked to him for a little while, but no news on if we're all going to be out on the street come the end of September. We're not really panicked, of course. Frankly, we do our jobs quite well with terribly few resources or people compared to other Internet shops. It's like who would they hire to do my job? Me, that's who.
