Hump day. The middle of the week. The point where next weekend is as far away as past weekend.
I need more coffee in my diet.
Yesterday was my sister's birthday. She's much, much older than I am.
To we went out for Vietnamese food at a place called The SaiGon. No complaints form me, I love Vietnamese food. I love most oriental food in general. I love Vietnamese iced coffee in particular.

don't even TRY tempting me. bastards. |
Here's my problem. I've been eating way, WAY too much lately. Look at the last four days:
Saturday: Barbecue.
Sunday: Indian food.
Monday: Barbecue leftovers.
Tuesday: Vietnamese food.
I haven't eaten at home in all that time. Everyone seems determined to force rich, sauce-covered food down my gullet in ever-increasing quantities.
It's not fair, damn it all. I love food! I'm trying to lose weight!
(Well, not really trying. Trying would require willpower. It's more like I'm cutting back on quantities and not snacking nearly as much.)
But I keep being invited places where eating until the lining of your gut creaks is the required situation.
I love going to restaurants. I love going over to Ronja and Joel's (and damn them for being such good cooks). How can I possibly resist?
Tonight I have a meeting to go to, so I'll be eating on the road again. I'll look for some place where I can just grab a quick sandwich or something. Just enough to fill the tummy. And no more than that!
What? Oh, sure, I'll have fries with that.
Eat some more!
Mom Rating: 3.5 out of 5. Mom likes to know that I'm eating well. She also thinks I'd getting a bit pudgy around the middle.
Big Brother note: More nominations tonight. The Thursday live show has been moved to Wednesdays to catch the Survivor! crowd. Those that want to not sleep for another hour.
My picks? Jordan and Karen.
Survivor! note: The ads say someone comes back tonight. I'm betting it's B.B. coming back to kick some whippersnapper ass.
You
talked about food yesterday too
More!
I want more!
Take me home, big fella
