Renaissance
Interesting. Feature film animation all in stark black and white like a Frank Miller comic.

I'm so happy that Superman Returns is reviewing well so far. Only thirteen reviews have been posted at Rotten Tomatoes (only six of them 'Cream of the Crop'), and only one is negative. And it's scoring an 85% at Metacritic (based on what looks like the same six reviews as the CotC ones at Rotten Tomatoes).
It's kind of hard to tell, but I think Roger Ebert liked King Kong.
Best line in a review of the day: "Doom" is like some kid came over and is using your computer and won't let you play.
It's up! What exactly I thought of Serenity and Joss Whedon's issues.
It's spoiler-iffic, so don't read it unless you've seen the movie. Unless you don't care, in which case, go right ahead.
Lisa's already said her comments on Serenity. I'm saving mine for Wednesday's update at What I Saw Today... as it's more of an essay.
In short: I loved it, and felt betrayed by it at the same time. I'm not anywhere near as upset as Lisa, because we look at things in a different fashion, but I am annoyed.
It's also clear to me that there will never, NEVER be a sequel, no matter how well this one does. The...events that occurred never occur until the very last installment of a series. It's over. Enjoy it while it's there, Browncoats.
Finally got around to watching the Hitchhiker's movie yesterday. As you may recall, we were a little occupied when it came out originally, but as it's now out on DVD, I could watch the whole extravaganza.
Good things:
Overall, I approve. Could have been better, and the ending was different enough to ensure that there's going to be NO sequels, which is disappointing. Still, I giggled a lot and that was what I expected.
Roger Ebert's review of A Sound of Thunder indicates that the movie has great camp value.
Notable Quote: "There’s a fundamental difference between movies that are bad because they’re willfully stupid (“Deuce Bigalow, European Gigolo”) and movies that are bad because they want so much to be terrific that they explode under the strain."
