Desperate Housewives

You know, I felt the same way about the premiere of Desperate Housewives as I did about the Lost premiere. Something was missing.

Maybe it's because we now know all the secrets. Mary Alice killed Zach's mother when she came back to get her son and her husband covered it up, and Zach is Mike's kid. The writers had to add a new secret plot, with the Applewhite family and their chained housemate in the basement.

I dunno. It wasn't as funny or as gripping. Sigh. Am I jaded?
