Rebit

Huge complaint from most average Windows users is that it's too hard to back up your hard drive.

Well the Rebit claims to be dead simple. Like plug it into a USB port and leave it. Anyone out there know if it any good? Might actually get one of these. And another for Mom.

If you're buying - of course I'll have one... love mom

Yes, I have been using it for a few months. It really is easy to use. I had my folks get one each. Go ahead and get one of Mom.

The drive sizes on those are too small for my uses. I'm one of the few home users that has more of a need for enterprise level backups than most enterprises I've seen :)

The product does compress stuff but that is of variable help. If most things are JPG or MPG there is little more it can compress. I have about 40GB of my 60GB drive full and the 80GB Rebit seems to be enough.
