| We're buying a house. At least we're sure trying to. We're digging up the last bits of the down payment and we're coordinating the paperwork and letters we need from our employers (and past employers in my case since I'm still so new at this job). I think it's going to happen. I hope it's going to happen. Something this huge, this absolutely massive has so many conditions and requirements and hurdles that I feel buried alive. Should we get it, I'll give you a photo walkthrough, but for now, here's a picture of the front. ![]() It's a four-level split. Four bedrooms, three full baths, two fireplaces and a big cold room/wine cellar in the basement. I'm really excited about the wine cellar. Not that I drink much wine or expect to have the money to fill it, but it just seems like the epitome of adult success, to have a wine cellar.
And what about the stuff we'll need that we don't know about? Is a parallel flange indicator something we need? I don't know! How can I? Living in apartments and other people's houses means you take a lot for granted. I could wander the aisles of Home Depot for hours looking at all the house stuff I don't recognize. Be sure to check the blog for updates. It'll be Christmas before next time I update, so let me take this chance to wish you all the warmest of warm wishes. All my heart to you and your loved ones this holiday season. |
